여러분의 기도 덕분으로 선선한 캄보디아의 하루 일정을 마치고, 오늘 두 번째 날 사역을 준비하고 있습니다. 도시에 머무는 동안은 캄보디아를 이해하는 일에 더 시간을 보냅니다. 어제는 지역 적응하는 오리엔테이션, 또 현지 적응 준비를 위한 샤핑, 그리고 저녁에는 데니 선교사님이 사역하고 있는 기숙사를 방문 사역과 비전을 나누고, 학생들이 저희들을 위하여 준비한 맛있는 과일을 먹으며 함께 교제하였습니다. 학생의 신분으로도 섬기려는 마음이 너무 감사했고, NLMA 사역이 온전한 방향으로 가고 있다는 것을 다시 깨닫게 되어 하나님께 감사드렸습니다. 김명숙 권사님 무사히 도착하셨고, 아직도 북가주 팀 짐 2개가 도착하지 않았습니다. 여러분의 기도 부탁드립니다.
Second Day - Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Cambodia
While we are staying in the city, our schedule is focused on understanding this country. On Wednesday, we visited students at the dormitory which is Missionary Danny’s main ministry in the city. We shared the vision with them, and they treated us with wonderful and delicious fruits. We saw how much they are willing to serve and we are thankful that NLMA is doing right thing. Kim gwonsanim from Colorado safely arrived on Wednesday night. However, we are still missing two bags of Northern CA team. Pray for finding those bags soon.
On Thursday, we will visit the killing field in the morning. This visit will remind us why we need Jesus and will see the need of grace and restoration of God for Cambodian. After visiting the killing filed, we will visit six houses where Missionary Han’s cow adoption ministry is taking place.
Thursday will be concluded by the pork belly party with missionary families and dormitory students. It was originally planned as the fellowship among team and missionaries, but we are able to invite all students by the generous contribution of a team member from Colorado. Pray that this fellowship may be used to encourage missionaries and students.
Whenever we are in the mission filed, we sense the spiritual warfare. This trip is not an exception. Deacon Jonathan Lee from Northern CA is having a health problem. Pray for the health of team members, especially, the ministry in the village will start on Friday.
The mission work seems to be an endless effort, and it makes us wonder if we are doing well. God’s kingdom principle is in the mustard seed parable. Though it is the smallest seed and often invisible, it will eventually grow to a large tree where many birds can build their nests. The fruit of our mission work may not be seen yet, but the gospel has the power and the life. Pray for missionaries that they will persevere in their works here in Cambodia as they are building the kingdom of God.
지금은 1월 29일 목요일입니다. 오늘은 아침 일찍 킬링 필드를 방문하여 다시 한 번 왜 인간들에게 예수님의 필요하고, 캄보디아에 하나님의 놀라운 은총과 회복이 필요한 지를 우리의 눈으로 확인하고, 오후에 한원배 선교사님이 사역하고 계신 소입양지 마을 총 6가구를 방문하고 돌아올 예정입니다. 하루 종일 다니는 길인데, 안전하게 사역하고 돌아 올 수 있도록 기도하여 주시기 바랍니다.
목요일 저녁에는 선교사님, 기숙사 학생들과 함께 삼겹살 파티를 하려고 준비 중입니다. 선교사님들과 선교팀이 하려던 것을 콜로라도 성도님의 후원으로 학생까지 다 초청하여 고기 파티를 하려고 합니다. 좋은 교제와 우리의 섬김을 통하여 선교사님들과 학생들이 많은 마음에 위로 받는 사역 감당할 수 있도록 기도하여 주시기 바랍니다.
선교지에 나오면, 늘 마음에 불안답답합니다. 영적 싸움이 각별한 것을 느낍니다. 팀 중 한 분, 북가주에서 오신 이조나단 집사님께서 급기야 수액을 수혈 받는 일이 일어났습니다. 이번 사역의 주 사역지는 마을인데, 모두의 건강을 위해서 여러분의 기도 부탁드립니다.
선교는 밑도 끝도 없는 사역, 그리고 캄보디아를 생각하면 과연 우리가 제대로 하고 있는 가도 생각하게 됩니다. 하지만, 하나님 나라는 한 알의 떨어져 썩어지는 겨자씨와 같아, 지금은 눈에 보이지 않지만, 결국 큰 나무가 되어 많은 새들이 깃드는 날을 우리가 반드시 볼 것으로 믿습니다. 당장 눈에 보이는 않는 것으로 우리도 판단할 수 있습니다. 하지만, 하나님 나라는 생명임을 기억하며, 인내하는 가운데 후원하고, 인내하는 가운데 사역할 수 있도록 팀과 선교사님들 가정을 위해서 기도하여 주시기 바랍니다.
보내시고 후원하여 주시는 선교사님들께 감사드립니다.
