Third Day in Cambodia - Friday, January 30, 2015
Because of prayers of many “sending missionaries”, our short-term mission team is doing well without a health problem. We also found the lost bags. Thank you for your prayers.
We spent time visiting the killing field and the cow adopting homes and the donated lands on Thursday. Six cow were adopted by 6 families and one already will give a birth soon. The cow is like a micro-loan. The cow will held those families to reach a financial independence. This project is the cooperating efforts of the chief of town, the head of village, and a veterinarian to revive the village. The village’s name is Krang Cheu. Please remember to pray for this mission project of Missionary Han.
When we visited the killing filed, we pray that Christ would bring a revival to Cambodia as we were reflecting on the sinfulness of men and Christ only can change us. We spent the evening with the missionaries, students and medical students Socha & Seila. We all enjoyed the pork belly dinner. Thank you for your support.
The team will finally moving to the village on Friday. Following days would be the highlight of this trip. We need to leave the comforts of Missionary Han’s care in the city, and we are entering to experience the tough living situation of the village. Pray for the team. Each member is trying to take care of health so that he/she will be become a burden to the team. Living as the community is the experience of heaven.
We are planning the village ministry in two areas. First is in Prey Kchie [Missionary Esther’s mission center] where we will have the Lord’s Day worship service with the baptism and the communion. Our team will involve with teaching English, Bible study, baptismal education, and evangelism visit to neighbor’s house. The focus will be the ministry of Word and Evangelism.
Second is in Ants Village and the focus will be the mercy ministry: Medical/dental ministry [Missionary Koo will join us], hair cutting, children ministry, village party, and evangelism, etc.
I may not able to write to you once I move to the village where the internet connection isn’t good. Please pray for the team though you may not hear from us.
We are also praying for you: God’s message would be preached to you through Pastor Sung Wook Jung and God’s presence and His grace would be abound in your life.
여러 뒤에서 기도하여 주시는 많은 "보낸 선교사님"들의 기도로 특별히 아픈 사람들이 없이 선교 활동 잘 진행하고 있습니다. 잃어 버렸던 짐도 찾았습니다. [잃었던 영혼 찾았고...] 기도 감사드립니다.
어제는 킬링 필드와 한원배 선교사님 가정에서 꿈꾸며 진행하였던 소 사역지를 방문하고, 불하 받으신 땅을 찾아보고 기도하였습니다. 6가정에 6마리의 소가 입양 되어 있는데, 이미 소 한 마리는 임신을 해서 또 다른 미래를 준비하고 있습니다. 소는 인디아의 마이크로 로온 [소액 자본 대출]과 같은 원리입니다. 소를 통하여 경제적 독립을 할 수 있도록 돕는 프로그램입니다. 면장, 이장, 수의사가 협력하여 온 마을을 살리는 프로그램이 되기를 기도하고 있습니다. 마을 이름은 크랑 쩌우 입니다. 기억하시고 기도하여 주시기 바랍니다.
킬링 필드는 나날이 발전하고 있었습니다. 더 많은 사람들이 경건한 모습으로 인간의 죄악된 삶을 돌아보며 우리를 살리는 이가 그리스도 임을 확인 받으며 예수를 향한 놀라운 부흥이 일어날 수 있기를 기도하여 봅니다. 저녁에는 선교사님, 프놈펜에서 공부하고 있는 학생들, 소카 세일라 자매 등이 모여서 푸짐한 삼겹살 파티를 하였습니다. 후원하여 주신 성도님께 감사드립니다.
오늘은 이제 우리가 단기 선교의 하일라이트로 준비한 마을 사역을 위하여 이동하는 날입니다. 프놈펜에서는 한원배, 한경은 선교사님의 배려로 그나마 편하게 시간을 보냈는데, 이제는 정말 고생 시작입니다. 기도 부탁드립니다. 모든 팀들이 더욱 개인 건강에 힘쓰며 서로에게 누가 되지 않도록 공동체 생활을 하고 있습니다. 천국을 연습하는 귀한 장이 되고 있습니다.
마을에서는 2가지 사역을 하려고 합니다. 먼저는 프레이 크찌어 [에스더 선교사 마을] 마을에서는 주일 예배 중심으로, 영어 사역, 성경 공부 사역, 세례자 교육, 세례식, 성찬식, 축호 전도 등등 예배 전도 사역에 중점합니다. 그 다음은 우리가 새롭게 꿈을 가지고 시작하는 개미산 마을에서는 구제 사역을 중심으로 사역하려고 합니다. 의료 사역, 치과 사역 [구금성 선교사가 동참합니다], 이발 사역, 어린이 사역, 마을 잔치 사역, 전도 사역 등등... 많은 사역이 기다리고 있습니다. 아마 마을에 들어가면 인테넷 사정이 그렇게 여의치 않을 것 같아 소식을 자주 전하지는 못할 것 같습니다. 무소식이면 희소식이라 생각하시고 더 간절한 기도 부탁드립니다. 저희 교회를 위해서도 기도하고 있습니다. 이번 주일 예배 정성욱 목사님을 통하여 하나님의 귀한 메시지가 전해 질 수 있기를 위해서 기도합니다. 그리고 여러분의 삶 가운데도 하나님의 귀한 임재를 통한 하나님의 복된 은혜가 임하기를 기도합니다.
