Seventh Day in Cambodia
Today is the last ministry day in the village. It is the day of picnic with the college students in Phnom Penh, the students living in the center, and the students who are helping Missionary Esther at the center. Students are very exciting about the picnic and they couldn’t sleep last night. Pray for our one hour and a half long trip to the picnic place.
On Monday, we visited Missionary Melki’s village. We were blessed when he told us with tears in his eyes that he will stay in the village as long as God allows his family to do the ministry in that village. Unlike the village where our center is established, there is no local leader in the village working with Missionary Melki. It is very difficult situation and he feels lonely working alone in the village. He needs lots of our prayer and our encouragement. We assured him that our church remembers him and praying for him always.
When we return to the city, we have two more days until we leave Cambodia. Most of the team members will leave on Thursday. I will be staying here and have NLMA meeting on Friday. Pray for the wisdom to lead the meeting and have a blessed time together with missionaries.
Ministries in the village required lots of emotional and physical energy because of the weather and the environment, etc. However, we have nothing to complain if we think about people living her. We should be thankful to the condition that is given to us, and we should do our best in our ministries and resolve to live more faithfully.

이제 마을 선교 마지막 날입니다. 오늘은 센터에서 에스더 선교사님을 돕는 학생들 마을 학생들, 센터에 거주하는 학생들, 그리고 프놈펜에서 대학에 다니는 센터 출신 학생들과 함께 소풍을 갑니다. 저희보다 학생들이 너무 익사이팅해서 잠을 거르며 기다리고 있습니다. 한 시간 반 차를 타고 가는 거리인데, 안전하게 기도하여 주시기 바랍니다.
어제는 [2/2//2015] 멜키 선교사님 마을을 방문하였습니다. 하나님께서 허락하시는 때까지 마을을 지키겠노라 하시며, 눈물 짓는 선교사님의 보고를 들으며 참 많은 감동을 받았습니다. 저희 마을과는 달리, 아직 그곳은 현지 마을 사역자가 세워지지 않아 사역에 많은 어려움을 느끼고, 또 많이 외로워하시는 것 같았습니다. 더 많이 기도하고, 더 많은 격려가 필요한 것으로 생각하고, 또 우리 교회가 늘 이름을 기억하며 기도하고 있노라고 확인하여 드렸습니다.
이제 도시로 돌아가면, 이틀의 시간이 있습니다. 대부분의 팀들은 목요일 귀환하고, 저는 금요일에는 또 NLMA 모임을 가져야 합니다. 지혜롭고 은혜롭게 모임이 잘 마쳐질 수 있도록 여러분의 기도 부탁드립니다.
마을 사역은 정신적으로 육체적으로 많이 소진되는 사역입니다. 날씨도 그렇고, 환경도 그렇고, 하지만 이 곳에서 거주하시는 분들을 생각하며 결코 불평할 일이 아니라고 생각합니다. 다시 한 번 우리에게 주어진 환경에 감사하고, 더 열심히 사역하고, 더 열심히 삶을 살아야 할 것을 결심하여 봅니다.
오늘 하루도 주 안에서 평안 형통하시기를 기도하며, 이제 마을에서 마지막 소식을 전해 드립니다.
